COMICS FAIR: Opening Hours: Sat 10am - 5pm & Sun 11.30am - 4.30pm. The Comics Fair on Sat 1 & Sun 2 June at the Millennium Forum is FREE to attend and will play host to a great mix of comic stalls, children’s workshops, talks and other activities. Come along to meet the world’s best comic creators, who will be sketching, signing and selling loads of cool stuff. We will also have fantastic prize giveaways and spot prizes for cool costumes - Dress to Impress!

Talk: Eclectic Micks - Where did it all go wrong?

Once a promising group of Irish comic creators, what has become of the Micks? Bad jokes aside, a mixture of determination, great work ethic and sheer talent has seen core members of the Eclectic Micks sketch group rise to the very top in the comics industry. Not only doing well, but creating some of the most dynamic and exciting work out there at the minute. Cut Paper Comic workshop


Work with artist Maeve Clancy to learn how to create a cut paper comic. This workshop moves from story writing to character design and cut paper design skills. Each participant will leave with their own cut paper comic and the methods to create many more in the future.

Beastly Drawings workshop with Chris Judge


Hear Chris read from one of his books and learn how to draw the Lonely Beast! Chris Judge is an illustrator and children’s picture book author from Dublin. His first book The Lonely Beast won the Specsavers Irish Children’s Book of the Year 2011 in Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards with his second book The Great Explorer published in 2012.
